It is possible that Brent Wood believes the concept and design of the current digEplayer is the IP of APS / Wencor since APS conceived the product and hired EDIG to produce it. If true, he believes he can go out and have company X build it, not EDIG. Obviously, most everyone here believes EDIG owns the guts of the digEplayer and APS owns the layout and cosmetics.

From my trademark experience, it would all depend on the EDIG / APS deal on the front end. My guess is Bill Boyer did not have the money to ``hire`` EDIG for the project and make the product 100% APS.

If EDIG and Wencor can get together, all is moot. If not, legal problems can truly eat up any cash flow in a hurry. Brent Wood may be counting on EDIG`s lack of experience or he may simply believe APS owns 100% of the IP in the digEplayer. Truth be damned.

So, we are back to Wencor is our sugar daddy for, at least, the short term and ole Fred needs to get busy. This we KNOW.
