Teddy:
I will second that, forever on this date my father would relate to me how he was sitting in his living room with his father listening to a radio program with his dad when the news broke. Then later both he and my grandfather were glued to the radio when Roosevelt gave his famous speech about December 7th 1941 a date that will live in infamy. He later enlisted and was in Patton's infamous tank corp, and not to go all over the war he ended up in the later days as part of the 20th Armoured that liberated Dachau.
Being ex Navy in 71 and 72 I was stationed in Pearl for a few months and the Arizona always had a special place in my heart, especially going over there and thinking about the 1100 men who are still there. We were all so young when we first got into the military. God bless you and all Americans who keep this date in your heart.
