The economics of a buyout versus settlements is as far apart as one can get.

I'm all for asking as much as we can from each of those that have infringed, hopefully edig management and the new law firm have learned a lesson from our experience with DM, and now will proceed with a much more aggressive attitude in settlement discussions.

As to a buyout, the economics are totally different and the criteria involves a return on investment among other factors.
