For the DVD format mentioned....
While in DVD-video(this is not the optical storage format part of DVD..but a file arrangement standard called UDF file system )...the files are loaded to the HDD...bypassing the optical concession....Where standard DVD software laced to to interact with the DVD menus will decompress and play the video and audio content.
The software mentioned above will then run the DVD-Video format and from there decode MPEG-2 video and Dolby Digital or MPEG-2 audio.
It will compete with tablet PC`s or regular PC`s having standards capability(if it`s not one it self)....having the optical drive included...
Because of the list of variety given....Pentium II or greater with software decodes....just like a PC.
