FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
e.DIGITAL FILES PATENT INFRINGEMENT LAWSUITS AGAINST SANDISK, PHILIPS, GRUNDIG AND OTHERS

Filings Follow Successful Licensing of Prior Patent Enforcement Actions

(SAN DIEGO, CA, – November 6, 2012) – e.Digital Corporation (OTCQB: EDIG), a long standing source of innovation and future-defining patented technologies, announced today that it has filed a new round of patent infringement lawsuits in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Handal & Associates, on behalf of the Company, has filed three separate new lawsuits against SanDisk Corporation, Philips Electronics North America Corporation and Grundig Intermedia GmbH (Grundig) who are makers of infringing products. Also named in the Grundig suit are two of Grundig’s distributors, GBS North America L.L.C. dba Grundig Business Systems and Smoltz Distributing, Inc.

These new filings bring the total number of cases filed by the Company in recent months to six. In its complaints, the Company asserts that products made and sold by the defendants infringe the Company’s U.S. patents covering the use of flash memory technologies, which are part of e.Digital’s Flash-R™ patent portfolio.

"Our intellectual property is valuable and we are committed to protecting and enforcing the Company’s rights to the technology. We will therefore continue to identify infringement wherever and whenever we can,” said Fred Falk, president and CEO of e.Digital Corporation. “Our patents are essential to many consumer electronics products and our inventions have opened the door to the widespread use of flash memory in many of today’s popular electronic products. The strength of our fundamental intellectual property has been validated through licensing, settlement and reexamination by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Our strategy is to leverage this knowledge and experience to streamline, accelerate and maximize our patent licensing efforts. Hats off to our legal team for their continued persistence and hard work,” Falk concluded.
