A few times, but why would I as a consumer care if something I buy says patent pending? Seen the new Folgers Custom Roast plastic container that has been arounbf about 2 years? Says patent pending on the bottom....hahaha. I don't care how it is packaged.
If I license NUNCHI and I'm a smart phone maker, and EDIG wants ongoing royalties for 10 years written into a contract then what if the USPTO rejects it? If it's a fake, does not exist, just a word/carrot...why should I make a long term committment? I say (IMO) OEM's are awaiting at least the lead patent approval. Lets face it, if a Samsung for instance puts NUNCHI in a smart phone or tablet, and states what the tech is, what it can do, we have the latest and greatest device in the world, and it turns out to be a fake...oops!!!
Talking to the right people...lets see...we signed 19 Flash-R licenses with OEM's. The OEM's were using and still are using our tech. Should we think they met a few of the right people along the way? The other visitor asked, "who are you talking to, to market NUNCHI? Are you talking to the right companies and the decision makers at these firms?"
Fred, "OEM's and wireless carriers, and yes, we are in talks with and negotiations with the right people at these firms. Many of the people we know have gotten us to connect with others within the organization."
Same kind of talk at the 9-1-11 SHM.
It takes time to fully develope the tech and have it ready to market.
IMO, they are doing what is necessary to eventually cut some deals.
This is not a product nor an app, it's a far reaching and unique technology platform with thousands of applications with social interaction being a big part but not all.
Wish you had been at the SHM and my many visits as a follow up to further discuss what is already public info, but to reinforce my understanding.
