emit the file encryption of DivX or what ever content supplied.....has nothing to do with the final layer of the system.....that being the HDD with related I/O.

Those items are just brought forward....the layers for the above are also spelled out in the APS IP application....an encoding layer with unique bit stream...camera effects....water marks....and the final package of file encryption for the above...before the files are passed to the DigEplayer.

Seeing that APS went to the extent of spelling them out...do they own them?....do they have exclusivity to a unique bit stream...or any of the other items?

NO they do not....

For the DigEplayer...

DivX is not involved at the final layer for this device...it would require a hard drive format....and this one is special....this layer is not video related.
