Need a little techno-help, and I realize you`ve probably answered this before, but the (security) layers you refer to - is it your impression that APS/Wencor ``owns`` something here? Patents pending? All I`ve ever seen re: APS patents had to do with cosmetics, not internals or anything technical. I just don`t see where anything would prevent/bar EDIG from selling the medE to any venue, including the IFE industry.

And if there is an issue here, couldn`t EDIG ``work around`` the issue and achieve similar security characteristics allowing content from the studios, et al?

I just don`t see where EDIG would exert the effort on the medE if there were concerns over IP owned by APS(Wencor). I`m more under the impression that if the device looks different to an adequate degree, we`re good to go. And things stated by the company (e.g., APS owns the box, we own everything inside the box; we`re free to market the inerds to anyone, including IFE) lead me to this conclusion.... medE=new/different box with similar inerds and more functionality.

And IF EDIG was to offer the medE to IFE, wouldn`t THAT get ole Brent bent?! Essentially more posturing by EDIG - come to us or we might just do an end run! IF we pulled off an end run, Brent`s head might implode from the rapidly deflated ego!

But, alas, I KNOW nuttin`!
