Hamburg/Buxtehude, September 2005- KID-Systeme will deliver the 110V AC In-Seat-Power-System, SKYpower, for the fitting of 6 Thai Airways Boeing Production Line aircraft. Business and Economy Class of the B777-200 aircraft will be equipped with the modern PC power supply system ISPC 100 Watt. Delivery of the first SKYpower-shipset to the airline is planned for the first half of 2006. KID-Systeme is market-leader for the range of in-seat-power-supply systems and provides aircraft passengers with a universal voltage of 110V AC for unlimited work with laptops and PED´s in-flight.
„THAI has always been operating with insight and innovation. The constantly growing airline is offering passengers increasingly modern and comfortable aircraft. The direct in-seat power supply is a perfect supplement to this philosophy and more and more a standard for the global passenger. SKYpower and business-comfort are going hand-in-hand in airline travel “, says Manfred Brunke, Director Sales & Marketing at Airbus KID-Systeme.
Since 2003, Thai-Airways decided not just to equip its new Airbus production line (A340/500-600), but also the already existing Boeing B747 and B777 aircraft with the modern laptop power system.
Over the last years, the KID-Systeme has equipped over 80.000 seats worldwide with the innovative in-seat-power-system in Airbus and Boeing aircraft. KID-Systeme, part of the Center of Excellence “Cabin and Cargo Customisation”,
