It is my understanding, from the lips of RP Speak to my eager ears, that EDig`s deal with APS was ``EDig OWNS everything inside the DP``, all the technology etc...while APS owns the shell. I think we all have known this for quite some time.
That contract, deal, understanding agreement..etc... was still in force when BOW purchased APS so it should be still in force today with BOW. It is out of the realm of posibility, since EDig has learned from past mistakes, that the company would allow the IP involved in the creation of the DP to have a time limit, to lapse, to go out of effect, to become the property of another....etc...
The only way I see BOW using the DP ``as a basis`` for the DS is to build around all EDig`s propritary technology, using ``off the shelf`` available technology but the same general outline.....Since I am not a techie I wonder if all that is possible and retain the essence of the DP, security...etc...
Of course BOW could be using EDig`s tech saying to EDig, ``if you don`t like it take me to court``.
