After reading Doni's post this am re the security patent, I emailed Fred and asked him for an update. Because I do not know how to move something from my email to this board here is what he said..

"The application is still in process. We filed the request for continued examination(RCE) in October of 2010. According to our attorney, in 2009 the PTO changed to a strange method of prioritizing their work queue. They no longer prioritize RCE's ahead of unexamined continuation and divisional applications. We're hoping to hear something from the PTO in the near future. This process is unlike the re exam process."

Please do not shoot the messenger--I tried and this is what I got. Whenever my investment in this company finally ends I plan to never use the words "hope" or "near future" ever again.
