I agree that Wencor does not yet have a replacement. I hope the future with Wencor is long and bright.

However, if you were Brent Wood (control, egos, etc...) would you be looking for replacement tech to be approved by the content providers? If you did, you might be able to control the manufacturing and add more value to the new IFE biz you entered about a year ago.

My guess is that search will take time and if not found, EDIG wins again. Unfortunately, that puts WAY too many EDIG eggs in the one basket, IMO. We need the second revenue source to be direct -- whatever form it takes.

Ok, so we are back to, yep, you guessed it:

EDIG needs to sell something.

This is not an impossible adventure. EDIG`s tech seems solid -- the digEplayer I played with at the ASM was very slick -- and the world is certainly moving to non-PC based and wireless internet & entertainment toys. EDIG claims to have it with the new Mobile Entertainment Device. Wencor or no Wencor, this just needs to get sold. I know it is a stretch and very difficult for some to comprehend, but that`s what Sales folks do.

Let`s hope the past can be buried and the future shows the promise of black ink. That would be a darn good start.
