September 9, 2005 – MARTINAIR, the latest airline to order the APS/Wencor digEplayer, is to acquire 900 of the handheld IFE units.

According to Utah-based Wencor, the order will allow the Dutch carrier to put 120 digEplayers on each of its long-haul aircraft.

”Martinair chose the digEplayer after a careful selection process in which all operational departments were involved,” says Karin Venema of the airline’s purchasing, cabins and interiors department. “The main reasons were the ease of use and the good balance between price and quality.”

Commenting on the recent flurry of digEplayer orders, Wencor CEO Brent Wood says: “We`re starting to see customers reordering more digEplayers. Eight airlines have already placed additional orders, which is a testimony to their satisfaction.”
