In addition to my patent reexamination and litigation related experience, I spend a significant portion of my time drafting applications and Office action responses in many diverse and complex technological areas such as medical imaging, heart arrhythmia detection, computer networks, electronic circuits, software, and hard disk drive technologies. Due to my eagerness to accept challenging tasks, partners often assign me the most complex cases from clients performing cutting-edge research. Another example of the contributions that I make to my current firm is the research and analysis I perform relating to the recent Federal Circuit Court of Appeals decision -- In re Bilski. I am currently an expert on the subject within the firm, and colleagues routinely ask me to advise clients on matters related to whether a claim will meet the Bilski test for patentable subject matter. I also look for ways to apply my knowledge in this area to my reexamination practice.
My goals include continuing to learn to become the best patent prosecutor and attorney that I can be by working with attorneys that have extensive experience and by attending outside education and networking opportunities.
