I hear a bunch of apologists for the administration here but no one addressing the basic issue of why only one staging area for food and water delivery?

no one blames the feds in the aftermath for the levee break per se...it was their pizz poor response to its aftermath that ``Brownie`` and fema are being attacked for...the words criminally negligent come to mind. Can`t get a helicopter to drop food and water at the convention center for how long?...pathetic.

days...days..to get significant national guard presence in when it should have been hours. Plenty of blame for state and local response as well.

Not a blame game just simple reality in a country where we expect more from our government than what we observed this past week...Let`s hope we learn from this experience and if there is criminal negligence involved those responsible at least lose their jobs....

ps Can someone tell me why in a state filled with flat bottom boats nearly all the rescues seem to have occurred via helicopter and almost no boats could be seen in the flooded areas? I can only guess that since fema controls the coast guard now they deemed this an excellent training opp.
