Would that advance planning include provisions for acting against those idiots shooting at rescue aircraft and starting fires?

The point I`m making is that yes, better planning could have been done, but recognize the scope of the problem, and the unexpected circumstances. And each move has to be well considered so as not to create a bigger problem (e.g., sending 100,000 National Guard to also have to house and feed while they wait for water to receed so they can actually do something).

The saddest thing is that I fear they haven`t even scratched the surface re: victims. Wait till they start going house to house.... The elderly, the handicapped, the stubborn....

One thing that really does bug me is that, watching the news channels, I see lots of upset and suffering people, and lots and lots of emergency vehicles THAT AREN`T MOVING! It`s like the people on the ground don`t have a sense of urgency (probably not true, or perhaps they too are still in shock, but it`s the impression I get).

The only bright side to all of this is that eventually there will be a ton of jobs created to rebuild.
