Unfortunately, it looks like a modern day Thunderdome crowd in the Superdome and the general NO area now. Shooting at the very people who are there to take you away from the death watch? What the heck is up with that behavior?

It would seem some folks think it is very easy to just fly in and grab all those stranded folks that either could not or would not leave when warned...even during the current thunderstorms which moved through the area today.

I hope and pray the 50K estimate is WAY WRONG on of the dead, but it looks like the death toll is certainly going to keep going up by hundreds and hundreds a day. Plus, a news report stated at least a month to expel the water from the NO bowl.

I think the size of this nature disaster is just now being seen by the masses and the blame throwers just look like pathetic political hacks without a clue. I doubt those that are pulled from the mired waters are asking which guy the rescuer voted for. They are all Americans and they need both political hack parties to work together to get the monumental task in front of us done. Neither party is impressive when politicizing suffering.
