Yes, my step daughter will be Ok. She has Ms. JHawk`s credit card now, so life is good at least until I get the tally. She can use this as another reson to travel around and see freinds until she can get back to New Orleans and help with the clean up. The state has asked that no one come back, even Health Dept. folks, until they get a handle on the total mess. That may take some time.

The Salvation Army guys are a true class act. We have met with several of the senior officiers and they know what they are doing and they get a big bang for the bucks they spend -- and every dime is accounted for and audited every month for anyone to see. I wish I had known that in the 1980s before I had a corporate program with United Way. They had programs that a whoppin` 75% went to the collectors (only 25% to the charities), much less the extravagant life style of the Exec. Director.

Thanks for the movie choice. Just added Brassed Off to my Netflix list:

Summary:Big energy threatens to move in and disrupt life in the small English mining town of Grimley, but its brass band conductor refuses to hang up his baton. Recognizing Grimley`s last chance to shine, Danny (Pete Postlethwaite) perfects his band for their last chance at national competition. Gloria (Tara Fitzgerald) tries to perform flawless flugelhorn as she wrestles resentment for her part in the mine`s closure and falls for Andy (Ewan McGregor).

Starring: Ewan McGregor, Tara Fitzgerald, More

Director: Mark Herman
