No license for NFC is required. E.Digital is not building any chips. If they decide to use NFC in the Nunchi mobile app, they will use the provided API supplied by google for the Android OS. The other mobile operating system that is huge of course is iOS which is found in Apple mobile products, but it does not yet support NFC, since there is no NFC hardware in any of the Apple products as of yet. I am not aware if Microsoft has added NFC support to the windows mobile platform.
