As far as devices that have static internal user storage memory ....would you buy a device where your data is tied to storage of a specific device?

Info on SIM or MicroSD type issues can be carried forward to new phones. If you store your contacts on static internal memory and the phone goes dead you are locked from getting that info.

For now, considerations are for user stored data.
