This company Global ePoint cashed in its lottery tickets and bought into security. In 2001 the company sold its previous business making vending machines for the sale of pull-tab lottery and instant-winner tickets. Global ePoint transitioned into security systems design in 2003 through its acquisitions of computer builder McDigit and telecommunications designer Sequent Technologies. McDigit`s computers are primarily used for airline X-ray security, while Sequent`s systems are used for surveillance by airlines, law enforcement, the military, and other entities. Global ePoint`s Global Telephony subsidiary develops debit card vending machines. Chairman and president John Pan owns about 44% of the company.
