Wouldn`t they just be trading EDIG for another middle man in your scenario?

Not if they buy an ``off the self`` player from a manufacturer and have another partner add security at the factory. Today, Wencor pays for EDIG to oversee manufacturing. If Wencor had a way to go around that portion of the supply chain, they would make more money or sell more at a lesser price to cash strapped airlines.

As stated, I don`t know who can provide the sevurity that the studio will approve, but it is likely someone else can do it for Wencor should EDIG`s relationship continue South.

Of course, all is not lost. As you pointed out, EDIG has some level of expertise and fame in the narrow little IFE world. Somebody else just might want to take a piece of Brent Wood`s pie.

Long term customer relationships are not part of EDIG`s history. Maybe that will change, but the direct sales to non-IFE industriies will be our long term future, IMO.
