You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
Just send up to the space craft the instructions to "print" any item you might need. Scan it on earth and "beam" the file up to the mothership and print on site.
This is really getting spooky. The scene reminded me of wonkavision if anyone remembers from Willy Wonka.
