RE: Railway Media -- Odd / Ironic pix? Hospitals

Considering Amtrak`s track record (pun intended), anybody find it odd or ironic that Railway Media would put the movie ``Crash`` on the digEplayer promo screen?
I trust this works out well, but I still don`t have a feel for the volume Amtrak can rent. Obviously, they know their market, so it must be enough to make sense to them. However, is it several hundred units, a few thousand units, or 10,000? We`ll certainly take any revs and exposure we can get, but I just don`t know if this can be a high volume, sustainable relationship. It`s Wencor`s deal now, so time will tell all. One possibility (better known as a WAG) would be for Wencor`s EU partner to use the Amtrak tests to further sales efforts in their far more train friendly and longer trip markets. Lots of long train rides going across Europe. The average EU worker has five to six weeks of vacation and there is zero media included on board the trains.
The hospital rentals would seem to be a much larger market -- especially with the new MED and internet access, IMO. Can`t you see Mr. / Ms. hypochondriac hooked up to WedMD.com and rattlin` off the various side effects of the meds the Dr. just prescribed as he stands there attempting to explain that ``just because you take the pill, you don`t necessarily get ALL the side effects, Mr. Sixpack.``
My guess is the new MED units could be set up to receive specific and personalized data for any pass worded patient who requests. And, on just about any medical topic the Dr. deems relevant. In addition, the more ``viewers`` and the more repetitions, the more they can charge for the ads to be included on the new MED. IMO, it sure looks like a great tool and entertainment device since better educated patients would take less time for the Dr. and are much more likely to follow instructions.
