RE: No trials to date...

Along these lines, and though a contract is apparently not yet in hand, did AMTRAK do trials? Maybe, but the scenario RP described was more like AMTRAK wanted the digE, reseached enough to find EDIG, and said ``we want these``.
And as far as we know, not all the adopting airlines did trials. It seems we found out about most trials, but I don`t think such discoveries versus adoptors would talley up ``even``. If we`d been a little more on the ball, we may have been able to track all orders from APS, then Wencor, and more carefully watched airline announcements and trials discoveries through time and had a better clue about this.
Conversely, I suspect that there are two or more trials going on right now based on that Wencor order back in May, for what may have been 1,000 units ($635K), with no follow-on airline announcements. We`ve only discovered one airline currently in trials. And 1,000 units could conceiveably support as many as 10 trials/airlines (figuring two planes each with 33 digEs on each plane, plus the 50% in rotation).
So now I`ve argued with myself enough to make it clear that I KNOW nuttin`, but neither does anyone else! Could go either way....
