I continue to see a growing number of airlines, AMTRAK now officially mentioned and some new target markets for a product concept that has already achieved success.
Should EDIG begin to fill hospitals, dental offices etc, that is a market not unlike the portable IFE market, virtually untapped and with EDIG not giving up the trademark rights for the shell.
I do know that EDIG and Sullivan-Schein`s head of new product development made contact for a product concept very similar to today`s Medeviewer a couple of years back. The digEplayer was just getting up and running and I think talks stalled for reasons unknown to me. I made the introduction and was not involved much beyond that.
This is the first I have heard of a similar product/target market since then, and I have no idea if EDIG and Schein are even involved but that contact is still there and Schein services those markets on a global scale.
Schein(HSIC) has a marketcap of $3.7 billion and has a history of growth through acquisition.
I am not aware if there is any active connection today, but certainly that type of contact would be relevant to the Medeplayer market opportunity.
