U.S. PSP Update On August 12

Sony will be releasing a firmware update for the handheld to improve various capabilities of the machine.

AdvertisementSony has announced that an update to the firmware of the North American PlayStation Portable will be available August 12.
The update, upgrading the PSP Firmware to version 2.0 will have new features to allow for users to use their handheld system to their fullest. The update will be including an internet browser that appears on the system`s main menu. Using the system`s Wi-Fi functionality, owners will be able to browse the net on the go.
Sony also says that the update will also be including new features hat allow for improved audio/video playback, a bevy of photo sharing options, superior network connectivity and an interface that can be modified to suit an owner`s own style.
Audiences can update their handhelds on August 12 by using the PSP`s Network Update feature by using a wireless Internet connection or download the file from Sony`s website to their PCs and transfer it to the system.
