holds involve all the back end control of the content delivery system. If you recall, this was Ray Henson`s forte and I think he was a large part of handling content loading for the players. In the case of wireless digeplayers, my feeling is he would be playing even a bigger role in setting up all the backend architecture to interface with outfits like In Flight Dublin etc., seems to me all the billing and accounting software might have been in his purview. IMS would seem to have been sought for its TDL and not for the Pea (all comments to the contrary) I agree with RP that it`s all about the content and AA and Virgins buy-in of the TDL from IMS seems confirmation that they could ``handle`` the content but it was never clear that this same content was loaded onto Pea units. Just because they have a TDL, doesn`t mean they are loading portable Peas with it. In fact I think all their sales of TDLs to date have not been associated with Pea units.
My point is they may have been entrusted with secure content but it is unclear if it was being loaded onto Peas. My feeling is it was (and is) only going into embedded, legacy IFE systems.
I don`t think this paves our way for much of anything but I also don`t think the attempt to merge with IMS was about the Pea units...more likely the TDL.
