2) They were working on 8 more "NEW PATENTS", which they planned to market through partners...

3) EDIG was not a "Think Thank", but aimed for getting paid for sharing the NEW TECHS with partners who would use their resources to market widgets containg EDIG TECH. And they did not intend to sell EDIG...
