Message: Pure conjecture re: CC - Chapter II

In this chapter I am going to look closely at the language of the CC announcement PR:

"The purpose of the webcast is to update shareholders on the Company's eVU business and new intellectual property development activities. The Company will also address questions that have been submitted by its shareholders."

So, eVU business update and new IP development activities.

What could the eVU business update include? Another IFE buyer(s)? Expansion of the device into other markets beyond IFE?

I suppose it could be dissolution of the IFE business or of the entire product line, but this IMO is less likely than something along the lines of the above. To me a business update IMPLIES more or expanded business (or new business opportunities that have presented themselves).

This conjecture is somewhat predicated on the concern of my prior post re: ability to withhold info for the CC. IFE or any other eVU buyers would normally necessitate a filing IMO. Not so much for expanding the business into new venues, but maybe....if it is a real concerted effort.

What could be the new IP development activities?

Enhancements to the eVU?

More patent applications?

Amendents to existing patents (via reexams)?

Is it "we gots nuttin'", and that they are abandoning further IP development?

Would "more licensees" be considered "new IP development activities"?

While the first five items I list would be appropriate for a CC and would probably not necessitate an SEC filing, that last one again hits the disclosure concern. Also, that last one may be a bit of a stretch in interpretation....

Bottom line, though I've tried to be "fair and balanced" in the above, the true "stretch" IMO is that words spoken on either the eVU or IP development fronts will likely be anything but positive. No confirmations, just an "attitude".
