Just thinking as I watch another snowfall in Michigan melt

How is the settlement amounts with each company determined? By a per unit that had the infringed patent price, future licensing rights, etc.

Any ideas?

Do they use the same template for each company?

Does the court decide the amounts?

This sounds like an enormous and time consuming to negotiate with each company. BUT A VERY GOOD USE OF TIME
