You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
Same glitch took me out, Emit and a couple of others I believe. Standard response from AGORA (due I'm sure to having had it happen on so many boards) prior to correcting the issue.
