If I didn`t think EDIG had a shot at ``approaching`` the efforts of a portalplayer, I might not have stayed this long. Because it has not yet happened is not to say it won`t.
There is no better example for EDIG`s business model, potential or target markets than exactly what portalplayer achieved in relatively short order. And while it wasn`t EDIG, it might have been...exactly the same target market and very similar products except that portalplayer had a partner with vision and deep pockets...and an unfair(or brilliant) advantage.
They had Apple and we had Gateway...I fail to see how different things were but I do envision how things might just turn out. Jobs no longer has the lock on hard drives and EDIG now has the patent-pending hardware encryption technology and a very astute CEO that seems rather confident he can capture a piece of this market.
Should EDIG announce a KINO deal with a notable partner, it won`t just be me making the portalplayer analogy.
