From an aligned communication source: “Representatives of the company contracted by Jetstar to re-purpose the iPads for inflight use of early window content originally provided Hollywood studios with a description of the security it intended to use in loading encrypted content to the devices, by-passing the iTunes content loading path, but did not provide working copies of the security solution. Subsequently, iPads loaded with the security software were sent to Hollywood studios, but quickly withdrawn before security testing could take place. To date, only one Hollywood studio has expressed satisfaction with the security solution for early window content, and it has been rumored that Jetstar has given up on by-passing the iTunes content loading path and the use of early window content, at least for the present.” What did we tell you?
