People complaining that Atul, with his electronics engineering degrees, contacts and experience, living in San Diego, is over compensated are in severe need of a sanity check.

As a simple example, my boss, a Director reporting directly to the President/CEO of a relatively small (1,000 people) subsidiary of Hughes in Santa Barbara, was bringing down $150K, plus bonuses and options. But that was ten years ago! Not CEO. No engineering degrees (though he was a member of the BAR, and the company paid his dues).

Atul could take his resume to silicon valley and double his pay (with a similar cost of living).

His real payday will come the same day as ours. Ya think maybe he sees some potential here?
