I don't think anyone here does not agree, a favorable Markman against 1 or more of the current CO 16 holdouts, to result in adding Value to the patents, and probably lead to higher settlements from whatever company/companies go that route. Also, down the road via round 3, 4....tier III rounds, to accomplish same.
Statistics dictate settlements in IP cases before trial, as we have read from sman's contributions, plus legal commentary by Gil and others. Our past 10 settlements IMO is also a sign that more of same is likely, before a Markman.
We had a Markman date set with the TX 7 of 2/17/10, and we were all "giddy" to be taking Samsung there....no offense saying giddy, I felt it too.
I again agree it would be great to take the likes of a Nokia there, but as a betting Man, as evidence of owning EDIG coming up on 11 years (LOL), my guess is all 16 will fold before the end of the year.
I am repeating myself, violation of rule #5, but that's my opinion.
