SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Hewlett-Packard (HPQ 38.64, +0.19, +0.49%) on Tuesday announced that it has entered a "joint development agreement" with Hynix Semiconductor Inc. related to a new, faster and more energy-efficient chip technology, called memristor. In a statement, H-P said, "Memristors require less energy to operate, are faster than present solid-state storage technologies and can retain information even when power is off."
