I know algorithms arn't the right term... it'd be flow-charts diagrams and/or schemats/white-papers.
In ComputerScience algorithms can be the initial visual box layouts of flow for a programmer; he may write/sketch these out to draw-upon to write code to extrapolate-on and display intentions,,, besides its mathmetial term.
