``But, what if for $650 less I can sell the airline customer a digEplayer that does what TDL can do as far as encryption is concerned, yet it can doe a lot more like using linux, connectinG to internet, cell phones and whatever else a lap top can do?...``

Depends on the content you want protected..it`s device global...Linux with all its application can be placed also..if you have developments at that level you want protected.

e.Digitals envelopment is at its protection authentication scheme..it is not a user application driven environment...for this environment to move it requires the MOS to run automated..

If you read my prior comments slowly perhaps other features will stick out for you....such as the....

of the TDL...

`` physically secure FIPS 140-1, level 2-compliant hardware device to perform authentication and encryption key storage

The authentication in this process is not for content management or loading files to other devices...it is hardware with an authentication process between it and an encrypted file....This same authentication process (standard of WAEA)is on the DigE also...Along with second authentication process to remove and reload content on the global scheme of the DigE.

Now take that global scheme back to the TDL..
