Wencor has the right to do as they please with what they have acquired.....very much so.
With that...if they go without e.Digital.. it will be without the benefit of e.Digital`s technology...IMO e.Digital is not going to hand it out to another developer....The security issue is nothing but a specification of Henson...that is what Wencor now owns.
If Wencor feels they can circumvent the process e.Digital has delivered on that specification..then having presented to the studios for testing....getting approval.....they better start the process now.
There is a shearing of technical liability in the APS model for premium content....on one company wants to assume it all...If Wencor wants to...good luck.
If the premium content issue is not an issue so be it.......e.Digital has benifit of the process for approval with their layer of input....lets move on to where it is important...they have not revealed their methods.
It`s an end to end process for sure....IMS claims their process is end to end but it`s not.....its end is at the TDL ...there are other components after the TDL...and the TDL decrypts important files before them...
The DigE platform is the end...it decrypts at that point....doesn`t matter if its fed by a TDL or PDL in front of it.
This is my last post of discussion on this matter...I have my thoughts considering all aspects...
GOOD LUCK to all...whatever your opinion.
