all good points, especially ``We have used a lot of words and established nothing.`` But the speculation is decent fodder with some interesting comments.
A few comments on Wencor`s APS purchase and the following discontent. From on line and off line discussions, I never had the impression the problem was with EDIG. Rather, Wencor may not have known the full extent of APS`s reliance on EDIG....as in craddle to grave product solutions. Cerainly, they knew about the license deal. I do not believe that is even open for discussion. Wencor has proven to be a smart group and, IMO, it is extremely unlikely they did not do the proper DD.
I do KNOW Wencor was not happy with EDIG early on due to jackass EDIG investors calling their offices. That part of the APS deal was an unknown and could very well be why they do not allow any Wencor specific PR to be released without their tight control. If it were me, I would do the same. This has nothing to do with ego and everything to do with running your business without disruptions from a, dare I state it, supplier. As much as some may hate to read it, EDIG is just a vendor. Wencor buys our tech, we manage the manufacturing for Wencor, they pay us. Period.
What does Wencor gain from IMS?
1) open positions filled with IFE experienced staff
2) TDL tech -- something EDIG does not have an anawer for today
3) manufacturing management if Wencor wants to bring in-house
4) a notebook ``portable IFE`` with duct tape and plastic as it`s primary and unproven security system
Is there anything Wencor receives from IMS that EDIG can assist in improving? My WAG is YES. See #4.
