OK GANG, LETS CLEAR UP SOME THINGS

My final comments on this topic: I hope...lol.
The SA information I posted in small chunks, was done so with permission by the provider. It was a SUMMARY of FEATURES/BENEFITS, PLUSES/MINUSES, and COST taken from five companies, who were requested to reply to the RFQ (request for quote). SA selected the vendors to which they were seeking bids/proposals, with a set criteria by SA. The five vendors submitted "sealed bids" due on or before a specified date...standard procedure by large companies, whether you are an airline, automaker, or McDonalds....
Pam, as I said in the PM reply this morning, if the document was company confidential, how did you find the link? Well, the same way my source did. If SA did not want it on the internet, that's their problem. Once it's there for public access, too late, they own it.
There was nothing malicious, no ill intent, by my source, nor I. We discussed options in how to present the information, and I decided not to post the link. The document was just too lengthy IMO, so provided what was required to answer questions we all have, especially you (LOL) and that's that...end of story...I hope...lol.
Secondly, great discussion on the stock option topic, and all opinions, both sides, I respect. I was not going to post my e-mail contact with RP on this topic, and told a member here I would not, but all the discussion has changed my mind, and if RP answers a question via e-mail, it's public info in my book.
My e-mail to RP:
Morning Robert,
Is there a set date in advance each year, stock options are awarded as part of the compensation package to the BOD members, or does it vary, and if so, please explain.
Thanks,
EDIG JOE
RP's reply:
Hi, Joe,
There is no set time. They are awarded at the discretion of the board of directors.
Best regards,
Robert Putnam,
Sr. Vice President
So, there you have it, more facts.
I don't recall the last time RP or FF got a salary increase, with the exception of FF's promotion to CEO, so, stock options granted yearly to me, keeps the burn rate in check, yet completes a portion of the executive compensation package, that was part of the deal on the front side. Now I am curious to look again at the year end financials etc, to see if there is a yearly salary for other BOD members...I can't remember, but it's either small or non-existant?
Lastly, as lawyerlong once said, "PM's are private, not public."
