Be a value added featurein terms of providing In-flight Entertainment for Business Class passengers on the new A320 fleet.

The initial new A320 aircrafts acquired would have no IFE system installed, hence the portable IFE devices would be the only cost effective method of catering to the in-flight entertainment requirement, in comparison to the more costly solution of “installed IFE systems”.

3.1 PRODUCT FEATURES

· Provide In-Flight entertainment content ranging from movies, TV shows, music videos, music, games and airline information (average capacity could contain about 10-20 movies/TV shows, over 20 channels of music, 20 music videos, 10 games and limited amount of airline info). The restriction to content variety/capacity would be morefrom cost of the content than in the device’s disk-drive/memory capacity.

· Hard-drive/memory capacity ranges from 30 to 120 GB depending on the product.

· Presents in Digital quality.

· Screen size ranges from 7” to 8.4”.

· Graphical User Interface (GUI) can be customized as per airlines requirements.

· The content could be updated periodically (based on airline requirement for content update frequency) using content loading ground station.

· Operates on battery or in-seat power (if available; A320 MSN 2908, 2914 do not have in-seat power). The batteries are to be charged using the ground battery charge station. Battery life ranges from 10 to 20 hours.

· Unit weight (with battery) ranges from 1 to 1.5 Kg.

· The devices could be stored onboard in galley meal carts.

· Devices have in-built credit card readers, if airlines decide to charge their passengers for the use of the portable IFE device.
