Finally closing in on this, I think....

We`ve heard that RP has stated, and Atul basically state in PRs, that IFE is to become a side line, dwarfed by other video platform product licensing/sales. I don`t think their intent in saying these things had to do with this Wencor stuff, but more with high hopes (reality?) about deals made/in progress with the highly touted multi-billion dollar unannounced Asian OEM. I hope I`m reading these tea leaves correctly (sense these EDIG statements date back to times likely before a deal between Wencor and IMS was contemplated).

So if the tea leaves aren`t lying to me, one would think that this type news is what the AMS is going to be about. RP has reportedly said that they ``expected`` to the OEM to announce such deals in the Fall, unless they (EDIG) got permission to announce sooner themselves. Is this part of the reason the AMS date has been pushed out? They`ve supposedly said that the reason was to position the meeting for after the annual financials came out. A month and a half later? Just leads me to believe that there`s more to it than that (like getting to an okay announcement date per the OEM).

So my optimistic side says to expect the following to be shared by EDIG (before/at the AMS):

Wencor: Creating the best of the best, with IMS TDL and EDIG tech integrated for a bullet proof solution.

Studios: More signed up contingent on the above coming to fruition.

Asian OEM: Multiple recognized brands to offer devices based on EDIG tech licensing for the Xmas shopping season. This to be the new dominate source of income for the foreseeable future.

OTHER: Core licensing. Integrated STB/pPMP activity (though could be part of Asiam OEM). New carrot. Did someone say Mouse Ears?

HAPPY Shareholders!

My pessimistic side (developed over the years) says:

None of the above.

Clean up crew converges on AMS to remove shareholders` guts from mass Harry Carey (not the actor, the other kind!).

Obviously I`m rooting for the Optimistic side to win (even if only partially). 340,000 shares....

One last thing(s), even if we get the worst case scenario:

Seems to me that trials that I suspect are in progress (remember that $635K order from Wencor with no subsequent airline announcement) are based on the existing digE. One would think that any orders derived would be based on use of the ``historical`` (albeit ``enhanced``) digE by EDIG. Same likely true regarding Amtrak. A switch would take time, and EDIG is likely to reap rewards in the mean time.

If my assumptions re: exclusivity are correct, EDIG is free to deal with others beyond Wencor, so EDIG`s flight in IFE may not be grounded (though it is awful foggy!). Prompting an additional thought process: could this have compelled the Wencor move?

Wild Card - Panasonic`s coming portable IFE sounds just like the enhanced digE. Possibilities.... Prompting an additional thought process: could this have compelled the Wencor move?

Brain hurts, and it ain`t Gilga`s fault this time!

It WILL be a long wait for the AMS.

And other than that, I KNOW nuttin`!

SGE
