I get your meaning, I think. But to clarify for me and perhaps others, I think what you`re saying is that the digEsystem with its ethernet/other wireless capability will remain a closed system, i.e., the signals from on-board wireless server to digEsystem devices will remain a closed system, and passengers with laptops couldn`t tap in to the signal. We`re now talking in-cabin connectivity only.
Hope this is helping others. Just remember that there are two levels of connectivity in play. Connectivity within the cabin, and connectivity between the cabin/aircraft and the ground (which may be via satellite).
