One of the aviation industry’s major in-flight entertainment providers strengthens operation in Lake Forest, California with the addition of Shankar Velusamy.

23rd April 2010: Knutsford, Cheshire, UK. IFE Services, a leading travel entertainment provider, today announced the appointment of Shankar Velusamy as Technical Sales Manager.

Well known within the in-flight entertainment (IFE) industry for his in-depth knowledge of all the major systems and applications, Shankar joins IFE Services at a time of strong growth for the company. Based at its US operation in Lake Forest, California, Shankar will play a key role in developing IFE Services in the North American market and meeting the technical and content needs of its clients.

Shankar began his career at Rockwell Collins Passenger Systems where he was a Lead Software Engineer and Project Manager before moving on to Panasonic Avionics Corporation as an Account Manager. For the past four years Shankar has worked for Thales Avionics where he was a Research and Development Manager working with airline clients to design and architect their applications.

Shankar will work alongside IFE Services’ other industry experts at its US operation including Executive Vice President of Technical Operations, Victor Hernandez, and Chief Operating Officer, Suki Dalrymple.
