The contingency agreement has been posted here many times. It's a contract that EDIG carefully evaluted, it is all spelled out, and they agreed to accept the offer.

I believe it's 40% + admim costs like photo copying, filing fees, postage and other general admin costs, and in round #'s EDIG receives approx 55% +/- settlement by settlement. The LG case was said to be 1 of the highest on the admin side, because it was the 1st. This is a generalization on my part, but EDIG is happy to have an arrangement with no upfront costs. Lets face it, without a contingency deal, what would EDIG have done to pursue IP monitization?

If a suit goes to trial, I believe it boils down to more of a 50/50.

If EDIG is purchased, DM gets 15% of the value of the patents and some other huge amount of costs, but I don't remember the details.

I'm sure there's nothing new here.....

Bottom line, this is a great deal for us/EDIG as stated to my face in EDIG's conference room with jonthezman and Wife with me on 9/17/09 per RP, "DM is the best thing that ever happened to e.Digital."

Attorneys are the brunt of many jokes, a profession that is looked upon by the general public as crooks, theives etc...so digs against them is part of of the deal.

So, what do you call 20,000 attorneys that sank in a cruise ship, a good start...sorry Gil...LOL!!!
