As Moxa pointed out, there was mention in those job postings of ``Auto Trains`` being the target for digEs. But going to Amtrak Auto Trains at:

it only refers to ``traveling between the Washington DC area and sunny Florida, near Orlando.`` This suggests that these are their only ``auto trains``. But wait.... The job postings also hit VA (okay, that`s DC area) and IL. Chicago? Ain`t no auto trains into/out of Chicago! Maybe coming? Maybe digEs for non-auto trains? Just a head scratcher....

Quantities? I have no idea, but per my calculations, a mere 6,000 (delivered in one qtr.) would put EDIG in the black.

When? I suspect their order has been received by Wencor, and Wencor`s order to EDIG is either in process or in hand. I base this on the fact that Amtrak has the job openings posted. Seems nobody would post jobs to manage a commodity that you haven`t even ordered yet....

Trials? IMO, IF there were any, they`re done.

That 5/17/05 order for 1,000 units of enhanced digEs.... I seriously doubt they were for this, but for (trials for) an airline. Those are probably about to be delivered any day now. Different deal IMO.
