One thing to consider, however, is that you suggest control could be acquired with only 10-20%*. People are selling this stock daily for under 15 cents. Think they would sell for 30 cents? Alot more for 30 cents? 10-20% of the float?
All kind of a moot agrument, as they could conceiveably acquire, above board, that quantity of shares directly from the company for less than 30 cents (today, with currently authorized shares).
*The other thing that does make this a bit moot IMO is that the scenario I was suggesting involved absolute/total control, i.e., ownership of the patent portfolio, and the benefit of free use and any current and future licensing income.
Bottom line: the request for authorizing more shares MAY, IMO, just be a further preparation of the poison pill, or more an major impediment, for any entities considering a take-over.
Hope it now makes a little more sense. But consider the source - the guy that frequently says:
