Re: appointment of a Special Master - does it sound settlement ?
Sounds like Judge Watanabe wants to get this thing wrapped up. I think this will be a good test of the validity and scope of the patents, and of their financial value — much better than we got in the first round.
At first I was disappointed that the CO 19 didn't settle as fast as round one defendants, but I think the cumulative effect here may be much more significant.
